Applicability of AI and Machine Learning in DE T&E
AI/ML has been demonstrated in a variety of private and public sector use cases. The case for AI/ML in testing and evaluation of a HEL’s system performance, at the source or target, can be proposed as a novel technique for analysis of system qualification. The Directed Energy community maintains various approaches and methods as to evaluate how well a HEL system performs; they test environmental effects on a HEL’s system performance and evaluate HEL system effectiveness as a part of a multi-layered defense capability.
