Integration of the Dual X-Band system
Verus Research is integrating the Dual X-Band (DXB) High Power Microwave (HPM) threat simulator for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). DXB will support MIL-STD-464 and MIL-HDBK-235 testing at the Pax River Naval Air Station. As part of its integration efforts Verus Research has developed a series of custom HPM component designs to cost effectively meet system requirements. To highlight these efforts the novel integration of NRL’s pulse compression cavities with high power solid state amplifiers, as well as the design of a HPM combiner cascade, rotary joint, polarizer, and corrugated horn will be presented
