An Iterative, Time-Reversal, High-Power Microwave Approach to Detect Resonant Frequencies of Electronics
Determining the resonant frequency of arbitrary, electrically complex devices requires days of extensive, high-fidelity simulations or hundreds of manually conducted and expensive tests. Frequency-selective, iterative, time-reversal methods have been demonstrated to spatially and temporally focus RF and acoustic signals on arbitrary scattering objects using either an array of transceivers or a pre-characterized scattering environment. When used iteratively in a monostatic setup, this method has been shown to self-focus on the resonant frequency of both electrically simple and complex devices at range and without prior knowledge of what the DUT is.
