Initial Tests in the BAM ½ km Enclosed Laser Range
This work utilizes the Ballistics, AeroOptics and Materials (BAM) Range located at The Texas A&M University System RELLIS Campus under Bush Combat Development Complex. The BAM Range is a national-asset scale enclosed range for Directed Energy and Hypersonics RDT&E. Some initial results of beam propagation through a heat-induced turbulent environment within the range will be presented and future work will be discussed, as well as current and future BAM capabilities.
