Manufacturing Readiness Assessment: N00b to Pro!

Ever been faced with a 90-page governing document and a comprehensive 200+ celled embedded txt “users guide” and been told to teach yourself how to conduct a US DoD approved Manufacturing Readiness Assessment? Before the stress sweat sets in, come hear about how this experience was survived by OFS Fitel!
In 2021, OFS Fitel began their partnership with Army ManTech to elevate manufacturing of Directed Energy laser components from MRL 4 to MRL 6. This effort was the first foray into self-assessment of Manufacturing Readiness Level for this OFS team and started with a trial by fire MRL 4 MRA. This presentation will review the OFS approach as well as the many lessons learned along the way. Come benefit from our experience and learn how to form the right team, ask the right questions, present results, and, ultimately, knock the socks off your program managers!
