Quantum Networking at the Starfire Optical Range
Quantum networking is a technology in its early developmental stages. Quantum networking requires pico-second level synchronization of the clocks in the network, the distribution of entanglement, and Earth-satellite links for global coverage. In this talk, I will discuss the ground station we are developing at the Starfire Optical Range (SOR) to demonstrate quantum networking protocols with satellites. Furthermore, I report preliminary results from our entanglement distribution field experiment over our 1-mile free-space testbed.
