DIA MASINT Capability
The office of Space and Counterspace within DIA directorate for Science and Technology is developing a MASINT technical collection capability for detecting, identifying, and exploiting the characteristics of active electro-optical systems. A recent demonstration event in September 2023 and June 2024 elucidated the sensitivity of our current terrestrial and airborne platform and proved the efficacy of our current collection phenomenology. Future DT&E phases in FY25 will flesh out the full capabilities of our technical collection platform. More details will be shared on higher networks, and in person at the event.
