Laser System Technology Conference |
14 April 2004 |
Orlando, Florida | |

Laser systems are an emerging growth area within the defense community, with programs such
as Airborne Laser and the Tactical High Energy Laser enjoying growing attention. These classes
of systems that propagate laser radiation through the atmosphere, or through space, bring together
several technologies. This conference pulled together unique sensing and control technologies
currently being investigated for future airborne, ground, or spaceborne laser systems. Presentations
included the results of theoretical investigations, laboratory scale experiments, and field
experiments and testing.
This conference was held in conjunction with the
SPIE - Defense and Security Symposium
Both conferences had the same technical
scope with the SPIE Laser Systems Technology conference involving
publicly-released information, and the DEPS Laser Systems Technology conference including
limited-distribution information that could not be presented at the SPIE conference.
Conference Highlights
- Limited distribution technical presentations
- Proceedings, available after the conference
- SPIE co-located conferences
- Beam Control Short Course
