The goal of the meeting is to enable enhanced understanding of the existing state of the art in ultrashort pulse laser science and technology for mutual benefit to the military and to the broader research and industrial communities. The Ultrashort Pulse Laser Workshop is one of three conferences as part of the Advanced High-Power Lasers Review. Registrants who meet the participation criteria will be able to attend sessions of either meeting for a single registration fee. There will be a public release joint technical session available to all attendees of the Advanced High-Power Lasers meeting. Highlights
Call for Papers Contributions are solicited for presentation at the Ultrashort Pulse Laser Workshop in the topic areas below.
Authors are encouraged to submit papers as well as presentations. Submitted papers will published as part of the Conference proceedings, and upon author approval, may be forwarded for consideration by editors of the Journal of Directed Energy, a peer-reviewed publication. Student Participation Student participation in the meeting is encouraged. Depending on the number of student speakers, a special student session will be scheduled. The Workshop will accept presentations and papers at the Public Release, Limited Distribution (C), and Classified (Secret) levels. All authors will be required to obtain appropriate approval to present in the relevant format. Please allow plenty of time for the approval process. Authors may choose to include their presentation in the public release or limited distribution proceedings. Abstracts Note: As of 7 June, technical difficulties at our web service provider are preventing confirmation emails from being sent. You will not receive a confirmation and DEPS will not receiving notification of your abstract submittal. However, abstracts are being received and our online abstract database is being correctly populated. If you choose to submit an abstract during this time, please email webmaster@deps.org and inform us of your submission. We will check the database and let you know the unique abstract ID assigned. Attendees from other conferences of the Advanced High Power Laser Review who qualify may attend any session of the Workshop and the public release joint technical session will be available to all attendees of the Review. Release forms, provided below, will be required for all submissions to the Ultrashort Pulse Laser Workshop. Classified submission are also due no later than 8 June and require that a release also be submitted (see below).
Release forms are required for all presentations submitted to the Ultrashort Pulse Laser Workshop. No presentations will be permitted without the appropriate release form. The appropriate release forms are also required for authors who desire to publish their abstracts or submit papers for publication. Abstracts and papers cannot be published without these release forms. Fully completed and signed forms should be faxed to 866-338-0967 or submitted by mail to the DEPS address below. Note that poster papers are considered presentations and the presentation release form should be used in those cases.
